"A Person's a Person,

No Matter How Small"

Dr. Seuss' story, "Horton Hears a Who," is a great story--and now a movie-- for both the young and old. It's message, "a person's a person, no matter how small," is the prolife message, presented in a simple, fun, and beautiful way.

Jesus was an unborn baby, too.

Let us remember Mary--an unmarried pregnant teenager. People looked down on her, condemned her. Even Joseph, her husband-to-be, planned to abandon her. But Mary's faith was firm in her God; she knew that He would take care of her, even when the world told her she was alone.

During this preparation for Christmas, let’s remember to love all unwed pregnant women, not judge them. They may feel scared, alone, abandoned –even by their loved-ones. Let us carry them in our hearts and in our minds, and do everything we can to make a place for them where they can rely on true love and receive help in their troubles. May God bless your Advent.
My friend, Kathryn, is an aunt!

Her brother and sister-in-law are pregnant with their first child. They don’t’ know if the baby is a boy or a girl, but he or she is almost six months. The family is so excited. The due-date is sometime in March!

"Bella"

The movie "Bella", directed by Alejandro Monteverde, is a new kind of love story. It takes a real approach to what many women are going through with this entire issue. It's one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. Here's a link to the trailer:

Also, the co-star in it, Eduardo Verastegui, has a very inspiring story. Here's a link to it:

Did you know…

YOU can spiritually adopt an unborn child today?

It’s easy. It’s simple. Prayer works.

All you have to do is say this short prayer every day for nine consecutive months with the intention of saving an unborn baby who is in danger of abortion. Give the baby a name, and keep him or her in your prayers. This prayer was written by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.

“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of [baby’s name] the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”

Carry the baby in your heart for these nine months. As a spiritual parent, you will have a very special connection with this baby forever—even if you don’t know who or where he or she is.

...And don't forget to pray for the mother and father!
Pro-Life Quotes:

"Each child is sent into this world by God with a "Unique Message" to deliver, a new personal act of love to bestow"...
~ John Powell, S.J., Professor of Theology

"America you are beautiful . . . and blessed . . . . The ultimate test of your greatness is the way you treat every human being, but especially the weakest and most defenseless. If you want equal justice for all and true freedom and lasting peace, then America, defend life."
~Pope John Paul II

How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love... And we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts...
~ Mother Teresa

"Sweeter even than to have had the joy of caring for children of my own has it been to me to help bring about a better state of things for mothers generally, so their unborn little ones could not be willed away from them."
~ Susan B. Anthony 1889

"You are called to stand up for life! To respect and defend the mystery of life always and everywhere, including the lives of unborn babies, giving real help and encouragement to mothers in difficult situations. You are called to work and pray against abortion."
~ Pope John Paul II, during his visit to New York, 1995 ~
